Homeless Woman Arrested for Attempted Kidnapping in California

A homeless woman living out of her car in California was arrested for attempted kidnapping after allegedly trying to take a child from a park in broad daylight. The suspect, identified as Perrone, had several warrants for her arrest in other states for various offenses, including assault and battery, possession of a controlled substance, trespassing, and resisting arrest.

Authorities revealed that Perrone was on probation from a previous conviction of assault with a deadly weapon in Nevada at the time of her arrest. She was also recently detained for assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm), but was released due to insufficient evidence, according to police reports.

The suspect now faces charges of attempted kidnapping and false imprisonment, both of which are felonies, as well as brandishing, which is considered a misdemeanor.
