CNN is facing a serious crisis as their ratings continue to plummet. Recently, it was revealed that the left-leaning network was being outperformed in ratings by both the Hallmark Channel and now the Food Network. It seems that more viewers are tuning in to watch baking shows rather than listen to the analysis of CNN’s anchors like Anderson Cooper and Jake Tapper.

In a surprising turn of events, CNN’s primetime lineup, which includes shows like “Anderson Cooper 360” and “CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip,” averaged a mere 367,000 total viewers from 8-11 p.m. during the week of December 2nd. This pales in comparison to Fox News Channel’s impressive average of 2.5 million total primetime viewers during the same period. CNN’s dismal performance placed them at number 17 among cable stations, behind networks like TNT, Food Network, and even the Hallmark Channel.

The decline in viewership for CNN and MSNBC has been staggering since the election, with both networks losing approximately half of their audience. Following Donald Trump’s victory, MSNBC’s primetime viewership has dropped by 55 percent, with shows like “The Rachel Maddow Show” experiencing a 56 percent decline in viewership. This is a far cry from the network’s heyday during the Russia Hoax, where Maddow was pulling in close to 3 million viewers per evening.

It’s no surprise that viewers are turning away from CNN and MSNBC, as these networks have been criticized for their biased reporting and divisive rhetoric. Many believe that these networks have only served to further polarize the country and spread misinformation. With their dwindling viewership numbers, it’s clear that the American public is starting to see through their agenda.

As CNN and MSNBC continue to struggle, one can’t help but wonder how much lower they can go before drastic measures are taken. Will they be able to bounce back from this downward spiral, or is this the beginning of the end for these once-prominent news networks? Only time will tell.
