The upcoming clash between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 43 of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to take place at Chepauk on Friday, April 25. Both teams find themselves at the bottom of the IPL 2025 standings, with the Men in Yellow languishing at the bottom with just two wins from eight matches and the worst net run rate in the competition. After a crushing defeat at the hands of the Mumbai Indians (MI), CSK will be looking to bounce back on home turf at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Despite being halfway through the league stage, the Super Kings have yet to find a settled combination. Changes are expected in their lineup for the upcoming clash as they aim to turn their fortunes around.

CSK’s squad for IPL 2025 includes players like Dewald Brevis, Rahul Tripathi, Shaik Rasheed, and MS Dhoni leading the team. The predicted playing XI for Match 43 includes key players such as Rachin Ravindra, Shaik Rasheed, Ayush Mhatre, Dewald Brevis, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and captain MS Dhoni.

In the opening slot, Rachin Ravindra will look to regain form, while Shaik Rasheed will need to showcase more intent at the top of the order. The middle order is expected to feature Ayush Mhatre, Dewald Brevis, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and skipper MS Dhoni. Players like Jamie Overton and Sam Curran could also feature depending on the team’s strategy.

The lower order is likely to consist of Ravichandran Ashwin, Noor Ahmad, Matheesha Pathirana, and Khaleel Ahmed. Ashwin’s experience could be crucial on a turning track against SRH, who have left-handers in their top order.

Vansh Bedi and Anshul Kamboj are the impact player options for CSK, with Bedi providing batting depth and Kamboj adding pace to the bowling attack if needed.

Overall, CSK will look to regroup and put up a strong performance against SRH to climb up the IPL 2025 standings. With a mix of experienced players and young talent, the Super Kings will aim to turn their season around and make a push for the playoffs.
