Demi Moore Reflects on Her Relationship with Bruce Willis
During a recent Q&A with Kate Hudson at a screening of Song Sung Blue in Los Angeles, Demi Moore shared a heartwarming memory from her marriage to ex-husband Bruce Willis. The actress, now 63, fondly recalled how Willis used to have a weekly tradition called “Neil Diamond Day,” where he would blast Neil Diamond music throughout the day.
The couple, who were married from 1987 to 2000, share three daughters together: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Moore reminisced about how Willis would play Neil Diamond’s music for years, expressing her own love for the singer as well.
Despite their divorce, Moore and Willis have maintained a close relationship over the years. Moore went on to marry Ashton Kutcher in 2005, while Willis tied the knot with Emma Heming Willis in 2009. The couple have two daughters together.
Willis once shared in an interview with Rolling Stone in December 2000, “I still love Demi. We’re very close. We have three children whom we will continue to raise together, and we’re probably as close now as we ever were.”
In March 2022, Willis’ family revealed that he had been diagnosed with aphasia, which later progressed to frontotemporal dementia. Despite the challenges they faced, Moore has shown unwavering support for Willis and his wife, Emma.
Speaking on a podcast in September 2025, Moore discussed the importance of caregivers taking care of themselves in order to be there for their loved ones. She emphasized the need to meet people where they are and not project expectations onto them, especially when dealing with health issues like dementia.
