Fremantle Appoints Ben Crompton as Global Head of Entertainment

Fremantle has announced the appointment of Ben Crompton as its new global head of entertainment. Crompton, a seasoned format veteran, will be stepping into the senior leadership role later this month and will report directly to global CEO Jennifer Mullin.

Crompton will be taking over from Andrew Llinares, who is stepping down from his position.

Prior to joining Fremantle, Crompton was with NBCUniversal as the vice president of international unscripted, where he spearheaded the development of formats, IP, and third-party projects in collaboration with international producers and talent.

With a rich background in the industry, Crompton previously led Lime Pictures’ U.S. operation, delivering successful shows such as Netflix’s “Dance Monsters,” MTV’s “True Love or True Lies,” and E!’s “Dating No Filter.” He has also held key roles at Warner Brothers, Eyeworks, and ITV Studios in various countries.

Jennifer Mullin expressed her excitement about Crompton joining Fremantle, highlighting his business acumen and deep industry knowledge. She looks forward to collaborating with him and the talented team at Fremantle during this exciting time for the company.

Crompton also shared his enthusiasm about joining Fremantle, citing the company’s reputation for creativity and innovation in groundbreaking formats. He is eager to start working with the exceptional talent at Fremantle.

Fremantle’s entertainment portfolio includes popular franchises like “The Price is Right,” “Family Feud,” “Got Talent,” “Idol,” “Masked Singer,” “The X Factor,” and “Too Hot To Handle.”
