Despite a legal challenge against Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Rally (RN), her presidential bid remains unshaken. Instead, her support among French citizens is increasing.
Following a decision by appeal judges to reduce a prior electoral ban, Le Pen has strengthened her lead in the polls ahead of the April 2027 French presidential election, re-entering the race.

Bloomberg reported:
“[The] National Rally candidate would get between 34% and 35.5% of the vote in the first round if it were to take place this Sunday, according to the poll of 1,503 adults by Elabe for BFM TV and La Tribune Dimanche newspaper. That’s a gain of 3 points from a survey in March.”
Centrist candidates under Emmanuel Macron, Edouard Philippe and Gabriel Attal, along with leftist Jean-Luc Melenchon, are trailing significantly.

The poll further indicates that Le Pen would prevail over all three rivals in the May runoff.
“’She’s in the lead among retirees and in major urban areas, and is neck and neck with Edouard Philippe among the working population’, said Bernard Sananes, head of Elabe. ‘What used to be her areas of weakness are no longer’.”
