Mark your calendars because “Happy’s Place” is reuniting another fan-favorite from the beloved series “Reba.”
JoAnna Garcia Swisher will guest star in Season 2 of “Happy’s Place,” alongside her former on-screen mother, Reba McEntire, as reported by Variety. The much-anticipated second season of the NBC multi-camera comedy is scheduled to premiere on November 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with episodes available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
In this new season, Swisher will portray Kenzie, a local influencer from Knoxville, who has been brought on board to represent Happy’s Place for an upcoming social media marketing campaign—much to the dismay of Bobbie, played by McEntire.
Swisher previously starred as Cheyenne, McEntire’s daughter on “Reba,” which ran for six successful seasons on The WB/CW. In addition to her role on “Happy’s Place,” she is also starring in Netflix’s “Sweet Magnolias,” where preparations are underway for the show’s fifth season. Notably, Swisher will take on a directorial role for two episodes of this upcoming season. Furthermore, she recently hosted the reality dating series “The Ultimatum: Queer Love” on Netflix, adding to her extensive television portfolio which includes roles in “Gossip Girl,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Freaks and Geeks,” and “Royal Pains.”
Swisher represents UTA, Untitled, and Shelter PR.
This addition to “Happy’s Place” marks another “Reba” alum reuniting with McEntire, as previous guests include Steve Howey and Christopher Rich, who made cameos in the first season.
The main cast of “Happy’s Place,” alongside McEntire, features Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn.
“Happy’s Place” is executive produced by Kevin Abbott, McEntire, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry, and Pamela Fryman, with Universal Television serving as the production studio.
