The 77th Emmy award season is upon us, and the excitement is building as the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences prepares to announce the official list of nominees. Set to take place on Tuesday, July 15 at 8:30 a.m. PT/11:30 a.m. ET at the Wolf Theatre in the Academyâs Saban Media Center in Los Angeles, the announcement will be live-streamed on the Academyâs website and official YouTube page for viewers to enjoy from the comfort of their homes.
The nominations will also be broadcast on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok, as well as the eventâs Brightcove feed. The nominees will be revealed by actors Harvey GuillĂ©n (âWhat We Do in the Shadowsâ), Brenda Song (âRunning Pointâ), and Television Academy chair Chris Abrego.
While Netflix and HBO Max are expected to lead the pack in nominations, Apple TV+ is poised to make a mark with its shows âSeveranceâ and âThe Studio,â potentially breaking its own record for Emmy nominations. Other anticipated nominees across various categories include HBOâs âThe Penguin,â âThe White Lotus,â âHacks,â and âThe Last Of Us,â Netflixâs âAdolescenceâ and âMonsters: Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,â and Disneyâs âAndor,â âThe Bear,â and âOnly Murders in the Building.â
The winners of the Emmy Awards will be announced on Sunday, Sep. 14, at 5:00 p.m. PT at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Fans can watch the event live on the CBS Television Network or stream it on Paramount+.
