Former WWE head writer Vince Russo expressed his surprise at the absence of Jacob Fatu from this week’s episode of SmackDown. The talented star was noticeably missing from the go-home show leading up to Saturday Night’s Main Event XL.
Jacob Fatu has quickly become one of the most popular babyfaces in the company following his betrayal of Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank. Fans have been drawn to his in-ring skills and compelling character. However, Fatu recently lost the United States Championship to Solo at Night of Champions and has since been embroiled in a feud with The Street Champ and his crew.
During a recent episode of “BroDown” with host Mac Davis, Vince Russo pointed out that Fatu should have been featured on this week’s SmackDown. He highlighted that Solo was in the main event and suggested that Fatu should have made a dramatic appearance at the end of the show to seek revenge on the current champion.
Russo emphasized, “The hottest person on SmackDown, without a shadow of a doubt, is Jacob Fatu. It’s the go-home show; Solo is in the main event. They get heat on LA Knight to cover LA Knight and Seth Rollins. If Fatu, when he came out at the end as the babyface, and runs Solo off. This is arguably your hottest guy on the show. He’s competing to get his title back tomorrow night. How is he not on the show?”
While the absence of Jacob Fatu may have raised eyebrows, Solo Sikoa must focus on his upcoming title defense against Jimmy Uso at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the United States Championship.
As the anticipation for the title match builds, fans are eager to see how the rivalry between Fatu and Sikoa unfolds. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting storyline.
