Jessi Draper has embraced the trend of transforming engagement rings into divorce rings.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, aged 33, reimagined her engagement ring from her estranged husband Jordan Ngatikaura, following his divorce filing on March 19 after five years of marriage. Jeweler Laura Taylor discussed Jessi’s revamped ring with Us Weekly, which Jessi revealed on Instagram earlier this month.
According to Taylor, “Jessi’s original engagement ring appeared to feature a 3 to 4-carat oval-cut center diamond set on a slim yellow gold solitaire band,” which Ngatikaura, 31, used to propose in 2020.
In her newly single chapter, Jessi gave the ring a makeover, with assistance from Carats by Cindy. The oval-cut diamond is now set in a chunky gold textured band. Taylor speculated to Us, “Her new divorce ring seems to reuse the original center diamond, now reset into a ribbed yellow gold cigar-like band, with the stone set flush into the metal rather than raised above it. The sides of the stone are secured within the gold while the tips remain exposed, creating a more modern look distinct from her engagement ring.”
Taylor also mentioned, “It was a classic and traditional engagement ring style, designed to place all of the focus on the center stone.”
Regarding the value, Taylor estimated Jessi’s new ring might be worth “$65,000 to $110,000, depending on the final gold weight and the quality of the center stone.”

“If the diamond was natural and of good quality, I’d estimate the original ring could have been worth between $45,000 and $85,000, depending on the exact carat weight, color, and clarity of the stone,” Taylor added.
Other celebrities who have converted their engagement rings into divorce rings include Emily Ratajkowski, Rachel Zoe, and Brooks Nader.
Jessi and Jordan, who have children Jager, 5, and Jovi, 3, ended their relationship after appearing on reality TV. Their marital struggles, including Jessi’s emotional affair with Marciano Brunette, were showcased on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Following their breakup, Jessi spoke out about their divorce during a March episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, alleging she faced “emotional abuse” from Jordan.
On Friday, April 24, Jordan responded, telling a fan that his “wife’s acting like a complete psycho [and] manic person.”
Jordan had previously shared with Us about the difficulty of their decision to separate, stating, “it has not been an easy decision.”
“I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons. While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition,” he added. “I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect. I kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this as a family.”
