White House Official Considers Extreme Measures to Address Immigration Issues

In a recent statement from the White House, Stephen Miller, a key figure in the Trump administration, revealed that they were actively exploring the possibility of taking extreme measures to address the country’s immigration issues.

Miller stated, “The border crisis is a form of invasion, and that gives us legal grounds to pursue every possible remedy.” He also highlighted how recent court decisions have hindered immigration authorities from expediting removals.

During a press briefing, the conservative White House staffer emphasized the constitutional provision that allows for the suspension of the writ of habeas corpus in times of invasion. Miller expressed, “I would say that’s an option we’re actively looking at.”

He further explained, “Congress passed a body of law, known as the Immigration and Nationality Act, which stripped Article III courts of jurisdiction over immigration cases. This jurisdiction-stripping legislation prohibits the judicial branch from being involved in immigration cases.”

Miller emphasized the importance of the courts’ actions in determining the course of action the administration would take. He added, “A lot of it depends on whether the courts do the right thing or not.”

It remains to be seen how the administration will proceed in addressing the immigration issues facing the country, but Miller’s comments suggest a willingness to explore unconventional measures to tackle the ongoing crisis.
