Kelly Clarkson has made the difficult decision to cancel her Las Vegas residency shows once again, citing personal reasons related to her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The former American Idol star, 43, released a heartfelt statement expressing her apologies for the inconvenience caused to her fans.

In her statement, Clarkson revealed that she needed to postpone the remaining August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas due to her ex-husband’s health issues. She explained, “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness, and understanding.”

Clarkson and Blackstock share two young children, daughter River, 11, and son Remington, nine. The singer has been open about the challenges of co-parenting with her ex-husband, acknowledging the complexities that come with balancing their busy schedules and parenting responsibilities.

The couple’s relationship began in 2012, with Blackstock also serving as Clarkson’s manager initially. However, their marriage faced difficulties, leading to Clarkson filing for divorce in June 2020. After years of legal battles, their divorce was finalized in March 2022, with Clarkson eventually winning a $2.6 million judgment against Blackstock.

Earlier this year, Clarkson faced vocal strain and had to cancel shows in Las Vegas, citing the need to protect her voice and ensure a high-quality performance for her fans. Despite the challenges she has faced, Clarkson remains grateful for the support of her fans and continues to prioritize her family and well-being.

The singer’s resilience and honesty in navigating personal struggles while maintaining her career are a testament to her strength and dedication to her craft. Fans can only hope for Clarkson’s swift return to the stage and wish her and her family all the best during this challenging time.
