When police arrived, they found the 34-year-old Stark “screaming and panicking” in the restaurant, as noted in an arrest affidavit reviewed by WREG. Before the restaurant incident, Stark was reportedly seen at nearby Shell and Marathon gas stations, asking people for help while holding the child, according to the outlet.

A witness posted a video on Facebook showing the police arriving at the restaurant. “Seeing that baby’s face really broke my heart,” the witness commented alongside the video. “I can’t even sleep thinking about that baby,” he added. “The devil is busy.”

Footage also captured bystanders outside the restaurant holding the door shut to prevent Stark from leaving. “The baby’s skin is on his lips and cheek!” exclaimed one witness.
