Mark Sanchez is now out of the hospital, according to TMZ, and is currently being processed at the jail.
Sources informed TMZ that the former NFL commentator was discharged from the hospital earlier on Sunday, shortly over 24 hours after he was stabbed in downtown Indianapolis.
It has been reported that his booking at the jail is underway, although his cash bond has already been covered by attorney Nick Sanchez from California.
As details unfold, it’s known that Sanchez was taken into custody while still in the hospital on Saturday. Prosecutors have filed charges against him for battery causing injury, public intoxication, and unlawful entry of a vehicle.
Dispatch audio has emerged, showing police conversations about gathering evidence in the vicinity, although it’s still unclear what evidence they were seeking or if anything was recovered.
A reporter has shared images of the other individual allegedly involved in the altercation, who sustained facial lacerations … notably, the injury on his jaw appears quite severe.
Sanchez, who played for various teams over eight seasons in the NFL, was scheduled to provide commentary for the Indianapolis Colts game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, but Brady Quinn has stepped in for him instead.
