The calm of a Manhattan night was shattered when three masked individuals launched a brazen attack on a sleeping man in his apartment. The victim, a 41-year-old man residing on Second Avenue near East 106th Street, was caught unawares as the trio scaled the fire escape and entered his third-story apartment through a window around 2:25 a.m.

Once inside, the intruders brandished a firearm and demanded both money and marijuana from the startled resident. In a terrifying ordeal, they proceeded to ransack his closets and made off with a collection of 14 watches, valued at approximately $10,000. The stolen timepieces included brands such as Hugo Boss, Casio, and TAG Heuer.

Despite the harrowing nature of the incident, the victim fortunately escaped without serious injury, declining medical attention for minor facial swelling. A 42-year-old woman who was also present in the apartment at the time emerged unscathed.

The suspects, all clad in black hoodies and masks, managed to evade capture and remained at large as authorities launched a search for them. It is unclear whether the victim was specifically targeted or if the attack was a random act of violence.

The brazen nature of the robbery highlights the vulnerability of residents to such criminal acts, underscoring the importance of vigilance and security measures in urban environments. As the investigation unfolds, the community remains on edge, hopeful that the perpetrators will be swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.
