President Donald Trump’s controversial decision to rename the Kennedy Center as “The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts” has sparked outrage and legal concerns. Despite the White House claiming that the board of trustees unanimously voted for the change, experts argue that the renaming of the iconic institution is illegal.

Interestingly, the domain names trumpkennedycenter.org and trumpkennedycenter.com were actually registered by comedy writer Toby Morton back in August. Morton, known for his work on “South Park” and “Mad TV,” anticipated Trump’s move to add his name to the Kennedy Center. In a recent interview with the Washington Post, Morton explained his reasoning behind securing the domain names, stating that the Kennedy Center is meant to honor culture, not ego. He saw the renaming as a form of personal branding, prompting him to take action in a satirical manner.

While Morton has not yet launched websites on the domain names, he has promised that they will reflect the absurdity of the situation. With a history of creating political parody sites, Morton’s work includes mtg2026.org, nancymace26.com, and resignchuck.com, targeting various politicians with humor and satire.

In response to the growing support for his actions, Morton expressed gratitude for the positive feedback and hinted at more surprises to come. As he continues to navigate the world of political satire, Morton’s unconventional approach is gaining attention and support from readers and fans alike.

As the controversy surrounding the Kennedy Center’s renaming unfolds, Morton’s actions serve as a reminder of the power of satire in challenging authority and holding institutions accountable. The impact of his work on the political landscape remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – Morton’s unique brand of humor is making waves in the world of online activism.
