This week, at a book tour event in Washington, D.C., the twice-defeated presidential candidate Hillary Clinton decided to spice things up by surprising another unsuccessful candidate, Kamala Harris, with a video query. The timing couldn’t be more intriguing: Harris is currently out promoting her memoir 107 Days, reflecting on her own faltering presidential bid, which notably involved some not-so-flattering maneuvers that included elbowing Joe Biden aside for his delegates.

During the joint appearance, the two former contenders took shots at President Trump. Clinton, ever the seasoned debater, triggered a stroll down memory lane as she remarked, “Hello Kamala! I debated Trump three times. You managed a single bout. He wouldn’t give you a rematch. In total, we’ve outsmarted him four times. Do you believe we’re the reason his current state is so… shall we say, erratic?”

Oddly, both Clinton and Harris share the dishonor of having lost to President Trump. Harris responded to Clinton’s question with a nervous laugh, labeling Trump the most “callous, corrupt, and incompetent individual” to occupy the Oval Office.

Meanwhile, Harris wasn’t shy about expressing her disdain for the Trump administration during her recent book tour stop in Los Angeles at The Getty Center. In a rather theatrical display, she declared, “This moment in time is designed to make people feel as though they’re losing their sanity while, in reality, these individuals in charge are the true crazies!”

She went on to implore her audience, “We are living through history! You are not mere observers; you are participants. It’s essential that you convey your emotional experiences in your narratives, for labeling the chaos—regardless of whether that changes the situation—is crucial. This moment insists we collectively confront the madness.” A warm cheer erupted from the left-leaning crowd.

As for the tour’s progression, it has been predictably erratic. Just last weekend in Houston, Harris asserted that Trump “lacks a mandate.” With exaggerated vigor, she insisted, “It was the closest presidential election in the 21st century! He does not have a mandate! Not a mandate! Not a mandate!”

Ironically, this comes despite Trump’s resounding victory over Harris in the 2024 election, marked by a decisive win in both the Electoral College and the popular vote across every contested state.
