Fresh off a triumphant win at the High Limit Racing International in Australia, Kyle Larson wasted no time getting back to the track for the 2026 Tulsa Shootout finale on January 3. The NASCAR superstar decided to focus solely on the Winged Outlaw A-Main event this year, driving the #83K entry. Despite starting in sixth place, Larson put on an impressive performance and finished in fourth place in the 30-lap A-Main race.

However, it was Daison Pursley who stole the show by clinching the Winged Outlaw Golden Driller trophy, edging out Larson in a thrilling battle for the lead. Steven Snyder Jr. came in second, followed by Jeffrey Newell, Kyle Larson, and Emerson Axsom rounding out the top five. The top ten also included Ricky Thornton Jr., Briggs Danner, Thomas Kunsman Jr., Chase Cabre, and Frank Flud.

The 41st Annual Tulsa Shootout saw six Golden Driller trophies being awarded on the final championship night of Micro Racing at the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Apart from the Winged Outlaw A-Main event, other division winners included Jonathan Beason in Non-Wing Outlaw, Frank Flud in A-Class, Cullen Hutchison in Stock Non-Wing, Jax Wittmer in Jr. Sprints, and Braxon Vasconcellos in Restricted A-Class.

Notably, Kyle Larson’s 11-year-old son, Owen, also made his mark by securing a respectable fourth-place finish in the Restricted A-Main race, while Brexton Busch, son of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, finished 10th in the same division. Ty Gibbs, grandson of Joe Gibbs, finished 13th in the Non-Wing Outlaw division.
