American Idol season 24 kicked off with a touching tribute to the late music supervisor, Robin Kaye, who tragically lost her life in a double homicide alongside her husband, Tom Deluca, last year. The premiere episode, which aired on ABC on January 26, featured a tribute card that read, “Season 24 of American Idol: Dedicated to Robin Kaye. We’ll save you a seat.”

The couple was found dead in their Encino home in July 2025, with the Los Angeles Police Department confirming that they died from possible gunshot wounds. It was later revealed that the suspect gained entry through an unlocked door, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the tragic loss of Kaye and Deluca’s lives.

Raymond Boodarian was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and one count of residential burglary in connection with the case. He reportedly used the couple’s own gun to commit the crime before calling the police on himself. Despite being declared mentally incompetent to stand trial, Boodarian was ordered to be committed to a state hospital.

Following their deaths, it was reported that Kaye had expressed concerns about neighborhood break-ins during a town council meeting. The couple had attended a Community Police Advisory Board meeting shortly before their passing, where LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell addressed the rise in crime in their area.

Robin Kaye had been a music supervisor on American Idol for over a decade, responsible for securing licensing for songs performed by contestants on the show. Her dedication and talent were deeply valued by the Idol family, and her passing was mourned by all who knew her.

American Idol season 24 continues to air on ABC on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET, with episodes available for streaming on Hulu the following day. The legacy of Robin Kaye lives on in the hearts of those who knew and worked with her, and her contributions to the music industry will always be remembered. The world of technology is constantly evolving and advancing, with new innovations and breakthroughs being made every day. One of the most exciting and promising areas of technology is artificial intelligence (AI). AI has the potential to revolutionize countless industries and improve the way we live and work.

AI is the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as speech recognition, decision-making, and visual perception. These systems are designed to learn from data, adapt to new information, and make decisions based on that information. AI has already made significant strides in fields such as healthcare, finance, and transportation, and its applications are only expected to grow in the coming years.

One area where AI is having a major impact is in healthcare. AI systems are being used to analyze medical imaging scans, such as MRIs and CT scans, to help doctors detect and diagnose diseases more accurately and quickly. AI is also being used to develop personalized treatment plans for patients based on their unique genetic makeup and medical history. This can lead to better outcomes and improved patient care.

In the finance industry, AI is being used to detect fraudulent activity and predict market trends. AI-powered algorithms can analyze vast amounts of data in real-time to identify suspicious patterns and alert financial institutions to potential threats. This can help prevent financial fraud and protect consumers from scams.

In transportation, AI is being used to improve traffic flow, reduce accidents, and optimize public transportation systems. AI-powered systems can analyze traffic patterns and adjust traffic signals in real-time to reduce congestion and improve the flow of traffic. Autonomous vehicles, powered by AI, are also being developed to make transportation safer and more efficient.

While the potential benefits of AI are vast, there are also concerns about the ethical implications of this technology. Issues such as bias in AI algorithms, data privacy, and job displacement are all areas of concern that need to be addressed as AI continues to advance.

Overall, AI has the potential to revolutionize the way we live and work, offering new solutions to complex problems and improving the quality of life for people around the world. As technology continues to evolve, it is important for researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to work together to ensure that AI is developed and deployed responsibly, ethically, and equitably.
