In a unique blend of nostalgia and state-sponsored athleticism, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has initiated plans for a “Hulk Hogan Trail” in honor of the legendary wrestler. This themed tribute follows the passing of Terry Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, who left us at the age of 71 this past July.
The announcement was made at Hogan’s Hangout, a Clearwater eatery operated by the Hogan family. The designated section will span two miles of the Clearwater Trail, stretching from Oak Avenue to Coronado Drive, proudly bearing the moniker “Hulk Hogan Trail.”
DeSantis elaborated on the initiative:
Visitors will notice signage featuring the iconic red and yellow colors associated with Hogan, and we plan to introduce various exercise stations along the route.
Envision it: as people cycle, jog, or stroll, they’ll have the chance to stop and complete pull-ups or other exercises—because why shouldn’t your leisurely activity include a workout? Just imagine, you could wrap up your two- or three-mile journey with a refreshing dose of fitness.
This is not merely a trail; it represents a lasting tribute to Hogan’s legacy.
As was famously proclaimed, Hulkamania will indeed endure—his star power in the wrestling world remains unmatched.

According to his official autopsy, Hogan succumbed to cardiac arrest, compounded by a history of health challenges, including an irregular heart rate and previous bouts with blood cancer.
