The left’s peculiar fascination with accused murderer Luigi Mangione has taken a troubling turn.

A theater in San Francisco has announced it will stage a ‘musical comedy’ about the alleged killer, titled “Luigi the Musical.”

While these individuals express unyielding disdain for Trump and Republicans, they seem to fawn over someone accused of executing an innocent man in cold blood.

Newsmax reports:

‘Luigi: The Musical’ Set to Premiere in San Francisco This Summer

A musical-comedy inspired by alleged murderer Luigi Mangione is slated to debut in San Francisco this summer, as first reported by KRON4.

“Luigi the Musical” is marketed as a “tale of love, murder, and hash browns,” with its opening scheduled for June 4 at the Taylor Street Theater.

Recently, Mangione entered a not guilty plea to federal murder charges relating to the execution-style killing of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson. Prosecutors have indicated their intention to pursue the death penalty if he is convicted.

The production is rumored to include appearances by other notorious figures, such as accused sex trafficker Sean “Diddy” Combs and convicted crypto-bundler Sam Bankman-Fried. The show is being touted as a “wildly irreverent, razor-sharp comedy that imagines the true story of Luigi Mangione, the alleged corporate assassin turned accidental folk hero.”

What is the thought process behind this phenomenon?

According to the Post Millennial, the show has already sold out:

Created by Nova Bradford, Arielle Johnson, André Margatini, and Caleb Zeringue, the production is completely booked. According to Johnson, the character of Mangione “is dead serious about his thoughts and goals. There’s something campy about the whole ‘good guy with a gun’ premise.”

Bradford, who also directs the project, stated, “One of the central ideas that we wanted to explore with this musical is our tendency to project meaning onto these types of figures.”

Does anyone on the left recognize how this reflects on them? Do they even care?
