On this All Saints’ Day, the First Lady and I extend our heartfelt greetings to Christians across the nation as we honor those saints who have paved the way to the divine. Their luminous examples serve as a reminder that the true strength of our nation lies in the goodness of its citizens, and that through unwavering faith and virtue, our country can stand resilient in the face of adversity, upholding liberty and truth.

Since the inception of our Republic, we have drawn inspiration from the holy men and women whose lives have shaped our collective spirit and deepened our faith. The Blessed Virgin Mary, revered as the Patroness of the United States, embodies grace and dignity for our land. Saints like Frances Xavier Cabrini, who devoted her life to serving the most vulnerable, Elizabeth Ann Seton, who educated generations through her faith-based institutions, and John Neumann, who led with humility and unwavering commitment, are shining examples. Their legacies—and those of countless saints—illustrate that faith has the power to transform not only hearts but entire nations.

Our nation has long upheld the freedom of religion, a sacred right allowing faith to flourish in myriad forms. My Administration stands resolute in defending this freedom, ensuring that every individual can worship, speak, and live according to their beliefs without fear of persecution. We remain vigilant against any attempts to marginalize or discriminate against people of faith, protecting our churches, schools, and communities. In honoring the teachings of Christ and the legacies of His saints, we reaffirm our commitment to be one nation under God, steadfast in our pursuit of liberty, justice, and the good revealed by His truth.

As we transition to All Souls’ Day tomorrow, when Christians will remember all who have departed this earthly life, today we celebrate the saints who illuminate the path towards Christ and inspire our nation toward holiness. May their enduring example lead our Republic forward, guided by faith, hope, and the promise of freedom.
