Taylor Swift made a notable appearance on her first talk show since launching her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl —lightly mentioning Travis Kelce with a new term.
The acclaimed singer, 35, visited The Graham Norton Show on Friday, October 3, shortly after her album’s release. She reiterated that “Opalite” has become a favorite among her close circle, stating, “‘Opalite’ is [my father] Scott’s favorite. It’s also my fiancé’s top choice.”
Swift elaborated on how creating The Life of a Showgirl alongside The Eras Tour helped her maintain creativity, citing it as a “secret passion project” to work on in the evenings. The tour has also enhanced her vocal abilities.
“I feel like I can do anything while running in heels,” she shared, adding, “It’s instilled in me the confidence to tackle higher choruses and leap octaves without a lengthy pause.”
Swift hinted at the presence of Easter eggs hidden within the various vinyl editions she’s been releasing in recent weeks, saying, “There’s also a poem included on the inside, with different poems appearing on each variant.” She then held back from divulging more, quipping, “No, I won’t reveal anything else—they can figure it out themselves.”
When questioned about the possibility of a wedding happening next year, Swift coyly responded, “Oh, you’ll find out,” before confirming her intention to invite Graham Norton, 62, to the event.

She detailed her wedding planning ambitions, stating, “I believe that planning should be enjoyable, unlike stressful weddings that restrict your guest list based on relationships. I just won’t approach it that way,” adding humorously, “I probably shouldn’t have said that.”
This appearance marked Swift’s return to The Graham Norton Show, following her last visit in October 2022 for the promotion of Midnights. She first joined the British show in February 2013 and returned for additional segments in October 2014 and May 2019.
This Friday, Swift also launched her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, including 12 new tracks.
In August, Swift announced the album during an interview on “New Heights”, revealing she collaborated with producers Max Martin and Shellback while juggling her Eras Tour in Europe in 2024.
“While I had three days off between every three shows, I flew to Sweden to keep working, returning back to the tour afterward,” she recounted, noting, “While I was exhausted physically, I found immense mental stimulation in creating new music.”
Reflecting on what drives her, Swift noted, “This album captures the inner workings of my mind during a tour filled with energy and excitement.”
Alongside her Graham Norton Show visit, she also celebrated the launch of The Life of a Showgirl with a special event in theaters from October 3 through October 5. Attendees got a first look at the music video for “Fate of Ophelia,” along with lyric videos for the other tracks and insights into the album.
Before the album’s debut, Swift publicly acknowledged her engagement to Kelce, 35, on August 26 after two years of dating.
She humorously posted photos from their engagement, writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Swift had largely remained silent about her engagement until Friday, but Kelce, 35, shared his excitement about this new chapter. He stated on the February 3 episode of his and brother Jason Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” that sharing the news of who he’ll spend his life with has been incredibly joyful.

Just a few weeks after the proposal, Travis openly shared his emotional reaction to the engagement with Erin Andrews, stating, “Being an emotional guy, I had a few tears, but this journey leading up to now has been thrilling. I look forward to spending my life with her.”
He also commended Swift for bringing positivity into his life, expressing that she has “brought enthusiasm and joy that has made me a better man, contributing to my comfort in who I am.”
