Kelsey Clark, the winner of Bravo’s reality competition show “Top Chef” in 2019, made headlines recently for all the wrong reasons. The 35-year-old celebrity chef was arrested in her hometown of Dothan, Alabama, after allegedly driving drunk and crashing into a mailbox with her two children in the car.

According to reports, Clark was booked by the Dothan Police Department after officers found her reeking of alcohol and unable to perform basic field sobriety tests. She struggled to walk in a straight line and stand on one foot, leading to her arrest on charges of driving under the influence.

The incident occurred when a call came in about a vehicle hitting a mailbox on Selkirk Drive. Responding officers determined that Clark was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Despite the ordeal, neither Clark nor her two children, aged 8 and 5, sustained any injuries in the accident.

Following her arrest, Clark spent the night in Dothan City Jail before being released. In her mugshot, the renowned chef appeared disheveled, wearing a black shirt and looking puffy-faced as she stared blankly into the camera.

Clark, who has authored multiple cookbooks and owns a restaurant in downtown Dothan called KBC, rose to fame after winning “Top Chef” Season 16. She has since ventured into television as a judge on Netflix’s “Next Gen Chef” and continues to run her southern-style eatery.

Despite her professional success, Clark’s recent legal troubles have cast a shadow on her culinary career. It remains to be seen how this incident will impact her reputation in the industry and whether she will face any further consequences for her actions.
